 Hi, everybody!  Not that you really need to read more from your trusty department chairs, but I thought it might be an interesting forum for us to have this blog available.  We’ll use it to announce upcoming events such as conferences, pending deadlines for grant proposals, interesting things we find on-line that may be beneficial to each other, and just whatever strikes you as something good for the cause!To get things started, I thought I would share with you two of the sites I visit everyday . . . just to see a little of the natural world in action!  One is a site that documents recent earthquakes both locally and around the world.  The other is a compilation of astronomical photographs - one for every day!  Enjoy!
